Marylhurst University’s Career Services Program provides job and career resources including reference materials, workshops and career counseling to Marylhurst students and alumni.

LynnBrown-THUMBLynn Brown is the Director of the Career Services and Internships.  In her role, Lynn serves both Marylhurst students and alumni by creating opportunities to learn about career development in classes, monthly workshops and in one-on-one coaching sessions.  Lynn is active in cultivating relationships with regional and national employers to facilitate both internships and job opportunities for our students and alumni.

Kirsten Gauthier-Newbury serves as Academic Internship Instructor and Internship Coordinator.  Kirsten works with students to secure meaningful experiences that will enhance their overall education at Marylhurst and provide opportunities for career development.  She also serves as a liaison with employers working with Marylhurst students.

Olivia_Yeung

Olivia Yeung is the Marylhurst Mentor Program Coordinator.  Olivia helps students network with established professionals and community members to develop relationships that will foster personal and professional growth.  She also is Marylhurst alumna and has experience with scholarships, service-learning, volunteerism and AmeriCorps.

Marcia Hale is this year’s AmeriCorps member serving students with job search coaching, resume review, and general outreach.  Marcia is a Marylhurst Alumna (’89).  She has an extensive background in the museum field, radio, and advertising, stratetgic volunteering, AmeriCorps, and being an “older” job seeker.   She is editing the blog and constantly updating the job board in addition to meeting with and supporting  students.  You can reach her at 503-534-4097 or mhale@marylhurst.edu
